Suricato isn't an ordinary wine shop. Created by Arturo Galisteo and Pepe Portillo from a shared curiosity for wine, it is a place devoted to discovering bottles you aren't likely to find on the supermarket shelf — small producers, lesser-known projects and wines with a real sense of place.
The shelves hold hundreds of bottles from Málaga and beyond, alongside carefully chosen cheeses and other gastronomic finds. But what makes Suricato particularly special is the way Arturo and Pepe share them. They know the stories behind what they sell, they host tastings and gatherings, and they have created the kind of shop where asking questions and discovering something new is very much part of the experience.
Their affection for small producers — particularly those from Málaga — makes this one of our favourite finds in Torre del Mar.
